What were about:
The point of our entire lives is to bring Glory to God. The greatest reflection of God’s glory is the Gospel. The importance of the Gospel is so great that we must continually remind ourselves of it and burn it into our minds and hearts. If you put a fire poker into a raging fire and remove it sometime later the poker will literally be glowing or glorying. If we stick ourselves into the fire of the Gospel, like the fire poker, we will glow with the glory of God. However, a fire poker does not remain heated away from the fire. It must return to the fire again and again. Likewise, we must return to the Gospel again and again. The more we remain in the fire the more heat and brilliance we give off. We cease to be a black charcoal fire poker and start becoming a glowing splendor. This brings Glory to God.
“In him was life and the life was the light of men. The light shines into the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-2
