Things continue to rapidly change and we’re making adjustments as needed! We firmly believe that God is in control and will see us through this crisis. We want to let you know how ministry will look different over the coming weeks. We will continue to keep our focus on the mission God has given us…To join God in HIS mission of reconciling God and man. What a unique opportunity we have to give Christ’s living water to the Western Slope! The means by which we carry out our mission will be different, but we’re still a church family with one purpose.
Our desire during this time is to stay connected as much as possible. Our church staff will continue to work full-time in order to shepherd our church through this season. Expect to hear from us a lot! Here are a few things we need everyone to know.
We will be suspending all Sunday morning services, Kids Ministry, Youth Group and Zeal until it is safe for us to meet again. A weekly
worship and teaching video will be on the website at www.riveroflifegj.com and will be posted at around 7pm each Saturday. We’re encouraging everyone in the church to watch the video to stay connected and growing together. You are also encouraged to download the accompanying discussion questions and discuss with family or your Journey Group. It is likely that we will operate this way for at least the next several weeks. We will inform you as soon as we hear that it’s safe for us to resume normal services.
Journey Groups and Bible Studies will adapt to the “group of 10” principle. Please contact Journey Group leaders about how your group will adapt.
Covid-19 Care Ministry:
We have created a care ministry to support our ROL family during this time. If you have are medically quarantined or have become sick we want to come along side of you to help. This ministry is ready TODAY and available to support you in prayer, phone check-ins and delivery of groceries or prescriptions. To request support, please contact the church office at 970-241-9692.
Office: At this time, the office will remain open during normal business hours
Financial Impact: Many of us will experience personal financial impact as a result of this crisis. We want to help in any way we can. Please let us know if you have needs. This is a time for us to be a family and help one another. You can give to our benevolence fund through our online giving or by dropping off a check. Secondly, this crisis will have financial impact on River of Life. If you are able, we ask that you continue to give during this time. You can give using our Website, via bill pay through your bank, or mail a check to the church.
Prayer Focus: This is a critical time to be people of prayer.
- Pray for God to move in revival during this time in our world.
- Pray for government officials, medical personal, and teachers as they respond.
- Pray for those impacted financially.
- Pray for God to stop the spread and destruction of the virus.
- Pray that we can take a posture of faith, rather than fear.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2
